Hypixel Guide #1: Guilds

Guilds are a great addition to Hypixel, and there are many cool things you can do with them. They are pretty much a clan of players, brought together by one leader. Together you work as a team to earn guild coins (get these from winning games) and with them you can upgrade your guild's size, get your players guild tags, and make room for more officers (second in-command). The more in your guild, the merrier!

You can only create guilds if you have VIP+ or higher, but that doesn't mean you can't join them if you don't have that rank! Type in the command /guild join [guild's name] to request to join that guild. Some guilds have it so players automatically join when they do this. For some guilds, a member has to accept your request for you to join. Officers or the leader of a guild can also send 'guildless' players an invite to their guild.

Commands
/guild join [guild name]
Sends a request to join the guild, which appears on the guild's chat. Any officers or leaders can accept this request. Once they do, you are in!

 /guild invite [player's name]
If you are an officer or leader, you can use this command to invite a player who isn't in a guild to join your guild. 

 /guild party
A leader or officer can use this command to send a party invite to every player in the guild.

 /guild accept [player's name]
Use this command to accept a request from a player to join the guild.

 /guild shop
Use this command to open the guild shop. You can only use this in lobbies. If the leader is on the server, they can buy guild upgrades with guild coins. Guild coins are earned by guild members when they win or play games.Guild upgrades include upgrading the guild's size (how many people can fit in the guild) and the guild's 'bank' (how many guild coins the guild can hold).

 /guild promote [player's name]
Only the leader can use this command. It promotes the named player to officer.

 /guild demote [player's name]
Demotes that player from officer to member. Only the leader can use that command.

 /guild disband
Deletes the guild. Only a leader can use this command.
  /chat guild
Makes it so every thing you say on chat is visible to the whole guild. This way, you can have a conversation with your fellow guild mates. Use /chat all to get back to the normal taking channel.

 /guild chat [message]
Instead of switching your chat channel to guild, this command lets you say one message to the guild. 

 /guild leave
Causes you leave the guild. If you are the leader of the guild, you have to transfer ownership to another member or disband before you leave.

 /guild online
Shows you all the people in your guild that are online.

 /guild list
Shows a list that contains every player in the guild. The players with a green dot next to their name are active, and the ones that have a red dot next to their name are offline.
If you perform the command /guild list it shows you everyone in the guild. The guild I'm currently in is sporting over 95 players. The guild (BlockEdge) has been active for almost a year. Anyone who has a green dot next to their name is online, but if you wish to see active players it is easier to do /guild online.



Tip:
When typing a command you can just put in 'g' instead of 'guild' and Hypixel knows what you mean. For example: do /chat g to go into the guild chat channel or /g invite [player's name] to invite that player instead of having to type in the four extra letters that make up the word 'guild.' If you really want to get a message out fast, you can do /gc [message].

Quartz thrones are fancy thrones, that give off the vibe of a  'Wealthy Duke,' instead of the 'Medieval Emperor' vibes you get from the Stone brick throne. Minigame Review #1: Murder Mystery

A very popular minigame, Murder mystery is a quick game on Hypixel server, and is one of the most popular games on Hypixel as of May 2017, and is still a prototype! Murder mystery has great rules, great roles, and beautiful maps built by the skilled Hypixel builders. At the beginning of each game, you get assigned a role: You are either the Murderer, the Detective, or an Innocent. There are 14 innocents, but only one murderer, and only one detective. If you're the murderer, your goal is to kill every innocent in five minutes. You have a sword that can be thrown, and no one knows you are the murderer unless they see your sword, or you're obvious about it, so stay sneaky!
