One Year Anniversary

It's been one year since this blog popped up on the internet, along with it's two posts, 'Welcome to The Blog', and 'Mini build #1: Fountain'. Ever since the blog has been expanding steadily, with new builds, guides, and mini game reviews for Hypixel, Cubecraft, and Mineplex games.

 One year later, not much has changed. I still really enjoy playing Murder Mystery, thanks to its updates with new maps, modes, and secrets (such as the one in Gold Rush that unlocks the secret achievement, 'We're All Set'). And after all this time, Hypixel players are still playing fun games like Skywars and Bed Wars. 

 But at the same time, it seems that a lot has changed. There are now five Hypixel Prototype games, such as 'The Pit', 'Battle Royale' and Zombies. Build Battle has become a full game, and so has Bed Wars, Murder Mystery and Duels. Mineplex has also had a huge update in the last year, changing their lobby around considerably and removing some unpopular games.

If anyone has any requests for Hypixel Guides (how to's), minibuilds (makes sure they are not too big) or mini games, comment your request at the bottom of this post. Thanks!

Hypixel Guide #1: Guilds

Guilds are a great addition to Hypixel, and there are many cool things you can do with them. They are pretty much a clan of players, brought together by one leader. Together you work as a team to earn guild coins (get these from winning games) and with them you can upgrade your guild's size, get your players guild tags, and make room for more officers (second in-command). The more in your guild, the merrier! You can only create guilds if you have VIP+ or higher, but that doesn't mean you can't join them if you don't have that rank! Type in the command  /guild join [guild's name]  to request to join that guild. Some guilds have it so players automatically join when they do this. MiniBuild #4: Quartz Throne

Quartz thrones are fancy thrones, that give off the vibe of a  'Wealthy Duke,' instead of the 'Medieval Emperor' vibes you get from the Stone brick throne. This quartz throne design, like many other thrones, has a gem in its centre. I used emerald, but you could also use gold, diamond, or lapas.  Requires: Block of quartz, Pillar quartz block, Quartz stairs, Quartz slab, Purple (or any colour) carpet, Block of emerald. Step One: Build two pillars made of a Chiseled quartz block, and a Quartz pillar block. Put an upside down quartz stairs block in between. Step Two: Behind your two pillars, build  a triangle of blocks  made up of two Quartz pillar blocks and two Quartz blocks. Minigame Review #1: Murder Mystery

A very popular minigame, Murder mystery is a quick game on Hypixel server, and is one of the most popular games on Hypixel as of May 2017, and is still a prototype! Murder mystery has great rules, great roles, and beautiful maps built by the skilled Hypixel builders. At the beginning of each game, you get assigned a role: You are either the Murderer, the Detective, or an Innocent. There are 14 innocents, but only one murderer, and only one detective. If you're the murderer, your goal is to kill every innocent in five minutes. You have a sword that can be thrown, and no one knows you are the murderer unless they see your sword, or you're obvious about it, so stay sneaky! If you're one of the many innocents, stay alive as long as you can, and avoid dying at the hands of the murderer (or falling off a ledge).
